She liked the way it looked in her bedroom and thought the grey color would work in most modern homes. She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it can create an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. It does have many excellent features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides, which can be lowered and raised with just one push of one button. This was especially helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them.
The side panel can be lifted by itself, too, but it's not recommended since it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will remain in place when it is properly attached to the parent's mattress. This feature can be very beneficial to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

It has a tilting feature for reflux babies, and the ability to rock to soothe them to sleep after a meal. It's also very spacious and provides great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite an extensive instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still quite portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use, which is a plus in the event that you have to transport it. The only downside our testers found was that the side panel didn't move like some of the other models, making it slightly harder to see your baby from your own bed.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to get started. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was fairly simple to put together. The only issue was the absence of captions written on a few images, which made it difficult to follow some of the steps. However, overall it was a straightforward process and the quality of materials used was excellent.

The drop-down side is also easily accessed to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night and was a major draw for our exhausted test moms.
